1.0 out of 5 stars Lasted Less Than 30 Days

We used this as replacement membrane in on whole house RO system and it failed in less than a month. Previous membranes have lasted a year or more. Support tried to blame our system until we sent them our setup and then they said there is no warranty because of a "high likelihood of factory failure"

1.0 out of 5 stars Very weak end caps and o-rings

Trying to build a home made reverse osmosis for maple syrup production, I bought a total of 3 such tubes. Installed membranes and operated well to about 100psi. At 125, concentrate would poor in clear water outlet. I thought I had a membrane failure and got zero support from vendor. In the end, I discovered that, although very tight at insertion, the O-rings manage to roll out as pressure increases causing complete loss of pressure. Also found that plastic caps crack when screwing NPT fittings. In turn, all caps suffered the O-ring issue and 3 out of 6 caps cracked. I converted those tubes to expensive membrane storage cases. This product is not meant to be used with water pressure and RO is all about pressure. Not recommended.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does not work as indicated - filter clogs in less than 2 months.

Verified Purchase
Our RO filtration system has 5 micron and 1 micron pre-filters.
Tried this product to save a few hundred $$ over locally available competitive cartridges ... this was definitely not worth it.
This filter clogged (no idea how with the pre-filter protection) in less than 2 months when it should have lasted a year vs. higher quality / higher priced alternates.
Communication with vendor was a significant challenge.
You get what you pay for - sadly.

1.0 out of 5 stars Garbage membrane

Installed this membrane and right out of the package it would not produce any permeate. Membrane was installed as per RO systems instructions. Spoke to systems manufacturer and was told membrane was defective. Emailed RO membrane distributor and they were very quick to point fingers as to it not been the membrane. The water this membrane is allowing through is still full of iron and very hard. Would not recommend this product or the distributor as they don’t stand behind there product

I have two of these. The steel housing itself is totally fine, but the ports on the endcaps are obviously oversized and are all somewhere between difficult and impossible to get sealed.
I've tried various fittings and they all screw all of the way in with very little torque. The seller's advice was literally to just keep adding tape until it will actually tighten up, which is more than a little absurd. I ended up doing 6 wraps of blue monster (2-3x the normal number) and I still have seepage. Even if it actually worked, I'd consider it to be a bandaid at best. NPT fittings require strong thread engagement, and you're just not going to get that with extra layers of tape.
Either the seller doesn't know, or just doesn't care enough to make their product right, and they seem to have zero interest in resolving this issue. You'll be better off spending a few more dollars and avoiding this altogether.

1.0 out of 5 stars Design flaw
Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2023

All the other housings have 1/2 holes for fittings. This one has 3/4 inch holes. It comes with a warning in broken English. I installed a plastic fitting into the whole and was careful not to over tighten as I assumed the warning was about stripping the threads. And it leaked… Then I tried using Teflon tape along with the pasted (bother included). And it leaked. I then tightened it while it was leaking and it cracked the housing end! Apparently that is what is what the warning was about. It is clear this is a design flaw and I would have never been able to tighten it enough to prevent leaking. A plastic 3/8 push connector to 3/4 fip cracked it! Don’t order

Got this item in it looks good and everything is here. When I plumbed it in I couldn't make the 3/4" connections quit leaking. I tried Teflon first. And yes to answer the company reply I did wrap it the right way. Still leaked. Next I tried Teflon paste And yes company I do know how to apply it. Still leaked. Next I changed the connections thinking maybe they were faulty, still leaks. As for the suggestion from the company that I use a licensed plumber, I did as I own a plumbing company. I would not advise buying anything from this seller as they will not stand behind there products!

The caps are crap. We ended up having so many problems with them not sealing and/or not fitting right. One arrived cracked and then the others preceded to not seal. Ended up buying all new ones from freshwater system, much better quality. I should have bought from them since the beginning because I would have saved myself aggravation and money. Completely awful experience. If I could give it a 0 I would.

Both housings I bought leaked, and when they said I could return, was at my expense which cost almost as much as the product. Big disappointment considering where they came from. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, Support is bad. they do not back their product. I ended up throwing these away and thankfully found good ones, that cost less, and were heavy duty tubes and ends.
